History was offered as a combination to students of Arts/Humanities stream from 1930's and the Honours Course was introduced only in the year 2000, which marked the commencement of the new millennium. The achievements of the students of this departments, both in academic and extra-curricular activities have been spectacular. Numerous students of this department are teaching either at schools/educational institutions and are also making their names in the professional world at various levels
