Anti-Ragging Cell

Philosophy

The philosophy of an Anti-Ragging Committee of Bangabasi College is centered around creating a safe and supportive environment within educational institutions where every student can pursue their studies without fear of harassment, bullying, or intimidation. The committee operates on the principle of zero tolerance for ragging in any form. It recognizes ragging as a serious offense that can have detrimental effects on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students. Therefore, it is committed to eradicating ragging from the institution entirely. Our objective is to ensure that every student has the right to study and live on campus without being subjected to any form of harassment or abuse. The committee focuses on prevention through awareness-raising initiatives. It conducts orientation programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns to educate students about the consequences of ragging and the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive campus environment. The committee emphasizes the importance of prompt response to complaints related to ragging. It provides multiple channels for students to report incidents of ragging confidentially and ensures that complaints are investigated promptly and impartially. The committee is empowered to take appropriate disciplinary action against perpetrators of ragging. The philosophy of the Anti-Ragging Committee involves continuous monitoring and evaluation of its efforts. It regularly reviews its policies, procedures, and interventions to identify gaps and areas for improvement, ensuring that its strategies remain effective in preventing ragging on campus.
