Students Profile Mapping

Student Profile Mapping of Bangabasi College is conducted with an endeavor of identifying the socio cultural diversity of the students and assessing their learning capacity. This profile mapping report is utilized as an indicator by the faculty to identify slow and advance learners and students with special needs. A student profile mapping system software tool (https://bangabasi.in/spm/students.php) helps assess and develop a student's skills by:

  • Identifying their strengths, preferences, and educational needs;
  • Evaluating their learning capacity;
  • Understanding their socio-cultural diversity;
  • Identifying slow and advanced learners and identifying students with special needs.

The system uses a questionnaire to gather information about a student's:

  • Problem-solving approaches;
  • Communication skills;
  • Capacity to use of tools and resources, general knowledge, and propensity to accept and complete tasks.

The results of the profile mapping are used to:

  • Provide personalized guidance and resources for each student;
  • Help faculty prepare lesson plans that align with students' strengths, weaknesses, and preferences;
  • Create a more effective and supportive teaching-learning atmosphere.

The profile mapping process typically involves three steps:

  • Assessment;
  • Counseling;
  • Training and development.
