View DetailsThe department of Political Science is a part of the glorious heritage of Bangabasi College since its establishment in 1957. Set up in an era of post-independence socio-political turmoil, it has come a long way to impart excellent quality of teaching to the students as decades went by. As a community of students and competent faculty members, the department is committed to academic freedom and equal access to education. The department of Political Science is adequately staffed with highly competent faculty, quite well known in the academic-socio-political circuit through electronic media, research interests and international level awards. The competency of the faculty is also proved every year by virtue of the results of the students who are well placed in educational institutions and other professional fields.
The Department of Political Science is engaged in teaching at the undergraduate level. At present the faculty takes classes based on syllabus framed according to CBCS and NEP Curriculum. The focus is on both Honours and General Courses with special emphasis on Interdisciplinary Courses (IDC) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC).
