About

The Mathematics Department of Bangabasi College is proud to be the inheritors of a glorious heritage. It was established since the inception of the College for catering Intermediate students. Later with the introduction of undergraduate courses in the College, Mathematics was offered to the students at the General course level. The department then started teaching Honours Course from 1940 under the able guidance of sincere teachers. Since then most of the students studying Mathematics Honours have completed this course with flying colours, some meritorious ones even securing ranks in the University Examination. So it may be concluded that since its inception, the Mathematics Department has never looked back, but progressed steadily over the years to be in the shape what it is today.
