Internal Complaint Cell

Philosophy

The philosophy of an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), mandated by law and organizational policy, revolves around creating a safe and respectful work environment free from harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct. The ICC of our College operates on the principle of zero tolerance for harassment of any kind. It recognizes that harassment undermines individual dignity, productivity, and organizational culture. Therefore, the committee is committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel safe, respected, and valued. The philosophy of the ICC is grounded in the protection of the rights of employees. It ensures that every employee has the right to work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and any other form of misconduct. We upholds strict confidentiality and privacy standards to protect the identities of complainants, respondents, and witnesses; and, maintain confidentiality throughout the complaint handling process to prevent any potential harm or retaliation against individuals involved. The committee aims to conduct fair and impartial investigations into complaints of harassment or misconduct and follows established procedures and protocols, ensuring that all parties are given a fair opportunity to present their perspectives and evidence. The philosophy of the ICC involves continuous improvement and learning. The committee regularly reviews its processes, gathers feedback from stakeholders, and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of its operations and better serve the needs of the College and its employees. It operates judiciously on the issues of gender sensitization. It is absolutely free from gender bias. Bangabasi College performs different programmes like national/ state level seminars on gender sensitization issues and celebrates International Women's day.
